Mobile Deposit Frequently Asked Questions

How do I qualify of Mobile Deposit?

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have an Orlando Federal Credit Union Checking account or Savings account for at least 90 days.
  • Your account must be in good standing as defined in your "Important Account Information" booklet.
  • Other qualification guidelines may apply.

What are the requirements for Mobile Deposit?
You must be enrolled in Online Banking and Mobile Banking.
You must have an iPhone or Android camara enabled mobile phone.
You must have the current version of OrlandoFCU Mobile Banking.

Is there a cost for this service?
Currently the service is free for OFCU Members with a Checking account or Savings Account, Online Banking and Mobile Banking. We will notify you if that ever changes. (Standard data rates from your wireless provider still may apply.)

How do I download the free Mobile Banking app?
Download the free app by going to the iTunes app store (for Apple users) or GooglePlay (for Android users).

How do I make a mobile deposit?

  • Please review the check before attempting to make a mobile deposit.
  • Make sure the check you want to deposit is properly filled out and legible.
  • Endorse the check with the required payee signature(s) along with your Orlando Federal Credit Union account number. Otherwise, you may restrictively endorse the item "FOR DEPOSIT ONLY" followed by your Orlando Federal Credit Union account number. NOTE: if the check is not properly endorsed, we reserve the right to reject the check for deposit.
  • Log into your Mobile Banking account.
  • Select the 'Check Deposit' icon.
  • Choose from the Savings or Checking account to deposit your check.
  • Enter the amount of the check.
  • Capture a picture of the front of the check.
  • Capture a picture of the back of the check.
  • Review your deposit on the 'Deposit Confirmation' screen and select 'Done'.

What if I accidentally submit the same deposit twice in error?
If the same deposit is submitted twice, you will receive an error message informing you that your deposit contains duplicate items. Your deposit will be adjusted.

What if my deposited check is returned? Can I resubmit it?
No, if a check is returned for insufficient funds, you may not re-deposit the check using Mobile Deposit.

If my deposit was successful, can I destroy my check(s)?
No, you must store your check for 30 days.

When will my deposit show up in my account?
Providing your deposit was successful, checks sent before 3 pm will be deposited by 5 pm. Checks sent after 3 pm or on non-business days will be deposited the following business day by 12 pm EST. Funds from Mobile Deposits may not be immediately available. It is important you review the “Terms and Conditions of Mobile Deposit” to find out when your funds will be available.

Can I deposit more than 1 check?
Yes, each check has to be deposited separately and deposit limits apply.

What are the deposit limits?
Our current daily deposit limit is $2,000 per day with a monthly limit not to exceed $5,000.
